Comfort.. how to?

Geez man.. i really dunno how to comfort my dad.. esp when we seldom talk.. like.. i dunno how to tok to him like this..

This was wad happen..

My dad and this guy are gd frens
And one day my dads boss wanted to promote him and ask him bout it..
Den my dad sort of like wanna give it to his friend(not too sure why.. but he might need the promotion more den my dad?..)
So he ask the boss to give it to that guy..
but that guy ..whom is oso my dads gd fren asked the boss to give it to my dad
So end up pushing here and there
but end up .. the boss gave the position to another girl.. =.=

ok.. my dad is kind of dumb to do tat.. but i'm sure he have his reasons.. and i totally support him..

But i really dunno how to make him feel better.. this is horrible..
